1.   Our investigation near Anakaputhur:

We the project group first went to anakaputhur river where all the leather waste of the leather factories near pallavaram and nagalkeni are disposed. We got the soil sampling from 20cm deep inside the top soil.yje soil was taken upto 400g And also the the water sample wich was taken upto 1 liter.Both the soil and the water are in tanned black in colour .we saw some people who were wshimg their chothin the banks of the river and investigated them . Because of this soil is very contaminated.it contains lot of waste particles         which affects our life.we can even sit here for washing there is a lot of bad smell that causes lot of fainting and stomach churning. This also affects the ground water “The leather waste and effluents from the factories of Nagalkeni are been deposited here. The animal waste and the human waste are  also been the main cause for the contamination”. They also said that thry are affected by many  deceases like,cholera,diarrhea (this diarrhoea causes many deaths).infants prone to this deceases and also typhoid. 

They also said that their life is very difficult because they get water once in 21 days but even though if they get water the first entry of the water is in black in colour and smelly even though they boil and drink they may prone to deceases. They said that they have complaint to municipal corporations through letters and live reports, but they say say that the municipal action haven’t took any action.we said that we will take care and we will complaint to municipal corporaion to take action on that area and cleaning process. I said to my father who is a ARO in municipality said that he will take the correct action.
