Mr.Ramdas who is working as a supervisor in PTIET helped us in explaining the effluent treatment process.
He said that what is industrial effluent and started the process.
The effluents from water, waste water and industrial waste water treatment facilities are included in this category. Almost all of the factories and industries are known to discharge their effluents or waste water into the neighboring land or water sources thus causing soil pollution.
He explained the process of treating this effluent “the effluent from the industries reach the station and goes to manual bars,here high solid waste of bigger size are removed the bars have the the distant variation of o.5mm.the remaining effluent are removed.it goes to reseiving sump because to protect the other stages these are stored.this has the capacity of 159m3 it is connected with submersible 30hp pump connected with liquid level controller.it is always half filled since because it should be alwaya be liquid to prevent rusting.the effluent gous to grit remover where the smaller particles are removed.”he also said the the process were all the inorganic and organic substances are removed.he said that this reduces the parameter from 6000 to 500.

biological treatment ,here organic maters are removed by action of bacteria like pseudomonas that eat as a food and recycled sins to prevent the dyeing of bacteria and therefore it reduces the parameter. It reduces the parameter to nearly 500
Again the lime is added and poly aluminium chloride is added and colour removal cationic polimer is also added it is made to fall in pressure sand filter.we also asked him if the parameter is reduced into 500 then why this soil pollution.he said that They haven’t concentrated on the PH,TDS(total dissolved solids),COD(chemical oxygen demond),BOD(bio chemical oxygen demond)
